Brute Ceramics works with architects, interior designers, art consultants and private collectors to create sculptural ceramic pieces for spaces with character.

Each commission is developed specifically for its setting — considering scale, form, material and the presence the work should bring to the space.

From individual statement pieces to site-specific and multi-piece commissions, every work is shaped once, by hand, and made to hold its own presence within an interior.

Commissions are available for private residences, hospitality and commercial interiors.

MADE FOR THE SPACE

A commissioned work can respond to scale, proportion, palette and atmosphere while retaining the irregularity that defines Brute Ceramics.

Rather than making an object that simply matches an interior, the aim is to create something that holds its own presence within it.

This also introduces the idea of commissions much more elegantly than listing specifications.

The Process

  • 01 — THE BRIEF

    Tell me about the space, approximate dimensions, atmosphere and what you are looking for in the style of Brute Ceramics.

  • 02 — DEVELOPMENT

    Form, scale and material direction are developed around the project and the space.

  • 03 — CREATION

    Every piece is made by hand in the Brute Ceramics studio. No form is repeated.

  • 04 — COMPLETION

    Once complete, the work is prepared for collection or delivery.
