The TENDER series is hand-coiled using coarse black clay, built ring by ring with patience and care. Each coil is added slowly, the form kept upright and composed through every stage — a quiet, repetitive process that mirrors the idea at the heart of the series: that staying soft, again and again, takes its own kind of discipline.

Softness is not the absence of strength. It is a form of it.

Left rough and dark on the outside, each piece reveals its true nature only within — a transparent glaze poured inside, uncovering a warm brown beneath the coarse black clay. What looks hard from the outside holds something gentler at its core. A reminder that being kind to yourself, and to others, asks more of you than toughness ever could — and that the two can live in the same object, the same person, at once.
